On my tear-stained pillow and the absence of my sheets

A question that doesn't change. But answers that do.

Where do you read? I mean, where is your favorite place to read?

I used to read outside. Until the snow came. Until it shoved me inside and kept me there.
I used to read in the back of our car. With the trunk open. Getting my vitamin D. (And possible a farmer's tan.)
I used to read lying on the driveway. The book over my face to keep the blinding sun out of my eyes.

That used to be my favorite place to read.

But now I enjoy my bed. The warmth at night when the Wicth of Endor creeps up.
And when Eastman dies.
And when I turn on my music on my bedside trying to remind myself that there are no cupboards behind these walls.

It is comfort.

It was the first day of Spring. And there I was hoping to get out in the sun. And there was the snow.

But no doubt, when the red line hits 60, I will be back outside. And I will be happy.

~The Lightning Thief (Movie)~

I absolutely loved the series, and I was desperately hoping that the movie would turn out to be just as good.

But there is only one thing that you have to keep in mind. The book and the movie are two completely different things. I knew before hand the the movie wouldn't be anything like the book, so I wasn't expecting it to be. Thats why I really enjoyed it as much as I did.

There were bound to be major changes done to the film, I just wasn't happy that they deleted quite a few of the characters, not to mention some bigger scenes in the book.

Other than the complete change of plot, and the throwing out of characters, I loved the movie. I will just have to love the movie and the books at different times.

My ACT class is making me MAD

I never wanted to take the class.

I never needed the class.

And I (of course) don't like the class.

But some authority of mine (ohh... parents) believe it will help. With what?

So far. Math.

I. Love. Math.

I. Can. Do. Math.

I do not need help on math.

I'm not trying to be cocky, but I guess I am.

So call me cocky.

I don't need this class.

annoying distractions

So I'm sitting in my 4th hour class waiting for the bell to ring.

It's a new semester, and a new history class, so I'm wondering what the teacher would be like.

Mr. P walks in, and pulls up a PowerPoint with three words written on it:


Emperor

Empire

Imperial


The task was to make a list of pop culture things that relate to these words. But I sat there for about a minute of the five minutes he let us brainstorm with nothing on my paper.

Besides the Emperor's New Grove, (ha.) nothing came into mind until I looked and the middle word again. How did I miss it before?

Then the next four minutes I didn't add anything else because I was so obsorbed with what I wrote down.

"The Empire State Building"

Huh. So much for paying attention in class today.
